Happy Halloween!

It's Halloween! One of the greatest days of the year. Get to see original costumes and give/get candy. Get scared. Share it with the family and friends.
I was going to start off my halloween night with Midnight Insanity's The Rocky Horror Picture Show screening and special night just for Halloween. But once I got there, they had already sold out, which I was very disappointed. I'll be going next week but my friends and I are buying our tickets in advance to avoid being left out for yet another week.

Tonight around 5:30ish I'll have my costume and painted face ready to give away candy. At my grandma's house we decorated a little the inside to make the visitors get in and get candy, but we are trying to make it spooky but I doubt it'll be, it's just to be in the halloween spirit!

After giving candy away for a while I'll be going with my sister to get candy. Unforunately, being 18 years and freakishly tall I won't pass as at least a 15 year or and get candy, but most of the people don't care. To get candy is to be dresses up to get it! That's what I based it on. No costume, no candy. Sorry.
If I get home before 10 I'll be watching the premiere of The Walking Dead . A new TV show on AMC with zombies! I just have to watch it! It's zombies. I love them. Shaun of the Dead being my favorite overall! And overall I always end up watching zombie movies or anything in that same genre.

I would be watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show right now on Fox Movie Channel but my cable doesn't allow us to watch it, I guess it doesn't come with that packet. It doesn't matter even though I would be watching it since the morning, but I'll just watch something else on ABC Family or another movie I find on TV.

What are you doing tonight for Halloween?

One Day for Halloween

Throughout the day I'll post random Halloween Posts for the excitiment of Halloween. One of the best nights of the year. Not only do you get candy but you get to see all those different kinds of costumes you would've never thought about :)

I'll start with famous Halloween Theme Songs or in other words best horror theme songs. (no order)

Michael Myers
Michael Myers is just a Halloween and horror icon, it's obvious his true and very captivating theme song is probably one of the best. Listen here.

The Exorcist
This is the one movie I'm never able to watch. I've seen it once when I was about 7 or 8 and it freaked the lives out of me. If I were to watch it now it'll just bring back bad memories and bad stuff with it. This is probably the scariest movie I've seen my whole life. Listen here.

Friday the 13th
It's just a classic horror film[s] and the song is just so good as any other like Halloween's theme song. It deserves to be up here. Listen here.

The Addam's Family
Come on! It's the Addam's Family! Everyone. And I mean EVERYONE loves the Addam's Family. The movies are just plain good, funny, and they're good movies for the family to watch and even better to watch on Halloween night. This year for Halloween I wanted to dress up as Morticia from the film! Maybe next year! Listen here.

Halloween Costume

Last weekend I went to a Halloween Party and obviously you had to wear a costume. Mine was inspired by Sylvia Ji's amazing work of art. They remind me "Dia De Los Muertos" but that's what the face painting was inspired by.

It was the first attempt but I'm getting more ideas and getting tutorials on what kind of make-up to use and the way to draw it.

What is your Halloween Costume.

10 Days for Halloween

If you live in California you can visit these places where you can make your hair stand and make you scream! The quotes is what I think of the theme parks you can visit in California in October.

Halloween Horror Nights
I love this theme park. By September I'm already anxiously waiting for the theme to be revealed. This year was my third time in a row going. The first time I went was back in '08 when Freddy Krueger was the icon of the park. Followed by Saw in '09 and this year by "What Fear Fears Most" '10.

Knott's Haunt
I enjoy this park as much as Halloween Horror Nights even though HHN makes me jump and scared more than this, it's still a good place to visit in October and explore all the 13 mazes they have. This year was also my third year going, not in a row. It's very enjoyable and you can tell the monsters to scare your friends for you and they will, which is always good to see your friends scream and frightened.

Disney's Halloween Time
Disneyland in Halloween is amazing. Many don't like Disney but coming from an Annual Pass Holder, I must say that Halloween is my favorite time to spend it at Disneyland because of Jack Skellington taking over The Haunted Mansion and Ghost Galaxy in Space Mountain. It's just a wonderful time to spend it. Oh, and also the Fireworks dedicated to Jack and Mr. Ogie Boogie.

11 Days for Halloween

Cute and adorable books you can read to your children, newphews, cousins, whoever.

Frankie Stein by Lola M. Schaefer
Imagine the shock on the faces of Mr. and Mrs. Stein when their baby boy arrives and looks nothing like them? Great Halloween fun for ages 5-8.

Froggy's Halloween by Jonathan London
Froggy needs a Halloween costume. But what should he be? He could be Super Frog, faster than a dragonfly, stronger than a bullfrog! Maybe he should be something scarier, like Vampire Frog! Finally, Froggy knows just what to be. With a zwoosh!, a zup!, and a zunk!, Froggy is dressed and ready to go trick-or-treating-as the Frog Prince. Froggy's new costume is perfect, until Princess Frogilina spots him! Uh-oh, looks like this could be the scariest Halloween ever!
A Vampire Is Coming to Dinner!: 10 Rules to Follow by Pamela Jane
Read along as the narrator of this story comes up with some very practical rules for dealing with a vampire. But rules are meant to be broken, aren't they? From feeding the vampire garlic to filling the house with mirrors, the narrator is doing just that! With ten full-page gatefolds and a pop at the end of the book, kids will love seeing which rules are being followed and which aren't!

12 Days for Halloween

Not top 5 or anything. Just simply movies you can watch during Halloween and still have the vibe of this spooky day.

The Shinning
Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of Stephen King's novel could quite possibly be one of the scariest films of all time. The bone-chilling movie is based in an isolated hotel where Jack Nicholson and his family have moved in as caretakers for the winter. What follows is a ghostly encounter with a former hotel custodian who murdered his wife and two daughters. Beware: The eerie silence of the movie will haunt you long after you've hit the stop button.

The Silence of the Lambs
Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter the Cannibal will scare you into numbness. Not for the weak-hearted -- the psychological thriller is a two-hour-long hair raiser about FBI agent Clarice Starling, who tries to gain insight into a murderer's mind by interviewing psychopath Hannibal.

Halloween
A Halloween night turns deadly when a former child murderer escapes from the mental hospital and returns to his small hometown to terrorize a babysitter. Soon her friends start disappearing one by one....

A Nightmare on Elm Street
The film that spawned six sequels and made Freddy Krueger into a household monster is still a must-watch horror flick. A group of teenagers start having dreams about a scarred man with razor fingers and soon they are brutally murdered in their sleep. The remaining teen, Nancy, realizes that she has to stay awake to survive. Good luck going to bed after this one!

13 Days of Halloween

Countdown to Halloween.
(some might not be Halloween theme but the season of Halloween makes it more enjoyable)
Top 5 Children Halloween Movies:

5. Hocus Pocus
More than 300 years ago, 3 witches were sentenced to die in Salem, Massachusetts and a boy was turned into a cat (a black cat, naturally). Now it's Halloween, and the witches (who fly on [I kid you not] vacuum cleaners) are back. This time, they've got their eyes on immortal life and have turned their wrath on trick-or-treaters and it's up to the 300-year-old cat to save the day.

4. Casper
A paranormal expert and his daughter bunk in an abandoned house populated by 3 mischievous ghosts and one friendly one.

3. The Haunted Mansion
Workaholic Jim Evers, his wife/business partner and their two kids are summoned to a mansion. When they discover that the place is haunted, Jim discovers an important lesson about the family he's neglected as they attempt to escape.

When a shy groom practices his wedding vows in the inadvertent presence of a deceased young woman, she rises from the grave assuming he has married her.

1. The Nightmare Before Christmas
Jack Skellington, king of Halloweentown, discovers Christmas Town, but doesn't quite understand the concept.
