Tangled's "I See The Light"

My sister watched the film when it came out and I watched Burlesque. What a mistake I made for waiting for the DVD. But anyways, I fell in love with it from the beginning. It reminded me of the classic Disney from the '90s.
The second thing I loved about this movie is well, Flynn Rider aka Eugene Fitzherbert! His character is like no other character. Though the storyline kinda reminded me of Aladdin. Aladdin is a thief, like Flynn. Rapunzel isn't allowed to get out of her tower, like Jasmine can't leave the castle. And both Rapunzel and Jasmine's best friend are animals (Pascal and Rajah). But I don't really mind because the characters are set differently and the setting is different. As long as I enjoy the movie I'm ok with it. And so far I've seen it more than twice a day. I've had the line's stuck in my head, the songs, and Flynn!
So as a way to restart the Weekly Song segment "I See the Light" made it this week even though I love "I Have a Dream" sung by Rapunzel and the Ruffians.

Now, on the Disney Cruise they have added Tangled to "The Golden Mickey's" performance. I've seen clips for other Disney movies, but haven't found the Tangled one, only the recording of it with pictures and everytime I listen to that version I want to see the clip because I want to see how they did the boat scene and floating laterns!

I went out and got my copy of Sixteen Candles! The magic of Goodwill. When I visit Goodwill is to search for movies I want, if I can't find them, I rent them. Sixteen Candles was there. It was $3.99! All I need to do is find Pretty in Pink.

Next '80s Teen Films

After watching The Outsiders and The Breakfast Club I'm on a roll of watching Teen '80s movies! So here are my next two.

Pretty in Pink (1986)

I finally got the chance to sit down and watch this movie! It was truly awsome and I'm totally going out and getting myself a copy! If you want something to watch overe the Holidays this is a good start.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World

I FINALLY got to see the movie yesterday!

And I loved it!

Usually when I watch movies with Micheal Cera I always end up liking them. For example, Superbad, Juno, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Youth in Revolt, Paper Heart, and now Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

I'm not that into the whole video games world like others, but overall I enjoyed the movie and I kept laughing at different points in the movie. It made me want to dye my hair blue like Ramona.

If you get a chance and rent/buy it you'll love it! It's worth your time.

Scott's friend, Wallace, was just simply funny! Also Young Neil at parts.

Glee goes Rocky Horror Picture Show!

I don't think I've mentioned this before but Glee is doing a tribute to The Rocky Horror Picture Show! This is the episode I'm looking forward in watching during the second season. This is 'suppose' to be the Halloween episode. Maybe around October we'll get to see the episode :)
So I was checking my Facebook and they posted a picture link of Lea (Rachel), Cory (Finn), and the episode director.
I know it's not something big like a picture still from the actual episode but at least it's something!

Water for Elephants

So you might be asking why the hell do I have the countdown for Water for Elephants on the side bar?
Well, I'm currently reading the book and I'm hooked. I was hooked from the beginning! I really recommend you guys read it and give it a try.

As a young man, Jacob Jankowski was tossed by fate onto a rickety train that was home to the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. It was the early part of the great Depression, and for Jacob, now ninety, the circus world he remembers was both his salvation and a living hell. A veterinary student just shy of a degree, he was put in charge of caring for the circus menagerie.

It was there that he met Marlena, the beautiful equestrian star married to August, the charismatic but twisted animal trainer. And he met Rosie, an untrainable elephant who was the great gray hope for this third-rate traveling show. The bond that grew among this unlikely trio was one of love and trust, and, ultimately, it was their only hope for survival.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World

I was suppose to watch it today but something came up that I was unable to watch the film. The film starts Michael Cera and Alison Pill.
Here is the sypnosis:

Everything is totally sweet.
Scott Pilgrim's life is so awesome. He's 23 years old, in a rock band, "between jobs," and dating a cute high school girl. Everything's fantastic until a seriously mind-blowing, dangerously fashionable, roller blading delivery girl named Ramona Flowers starts cruising through his dreams and sailing by him at parties. But the path to Ms. Flowers isn't covered in rose petals. Ramona's seven evil exes stand between Scott and true happiness. Can Scott defeat all seven of the bad guys and get the girl without turning his precious little life upside-down, before the game is over?

I always enjoy films by Michael Cera. So obviously I have to watch it.
This weekend is going to be very busy so I doubt I'll have a chance to watch it. Once I get the chance to watch the film I'll post my review and what I thought about it. It seems like and epic 2 hour ride :)

Beastly = Alex Pettyfer

Ok. I'm going to start by saying that Alex Pettyfer is really handsome. And his new upcoming film, Beastly is an anticipation for me to be release.
I read the book a few years back before the film was even optioned. And once it started getting itself together Alex was cast for the main role.
I can't stress enough how much I've grown to like him as an actor.
     I thought to myself: Have I posted something related to Beastly? I looked at my posts and didn't see any. I was shocked.
Well, all I can say is I can't wait for March 2011 for the release of Beastly.
That's probably nor my favorite picture of him in the film but the poster is well detailed and I like it a lot.

Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

I think this was released yesterday? I just finished watching it and I'm beyond amazed like always by the making of the Narnia films. Though I wish we could have seen more of Ben Barnes in the trailer or Susan and Peter?

COMING TO THEATERS DECEMBER 10, 2010!

This gets me so excited for Christmas because my mom and I went to watch Prince Caspian and I acted like a 7 year old. I was screaming and so excited to see what would happen next and finally after almost 2 years later The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is finally coming :D

Rent- Your Eyes

I just finished watching RENT. The movie version! I've seen it so many times but I never got the chance to actually pay attention to it and give it more credit! I fell in love with the music and especially Adam Pascal! :)
Anyways, I'm off to watch My Girl. Another sad movie. But it's sweet and good.

Weekend: Movies, Musicals, Books

So it's almost the weekend and I'm getting ready for finals and the end of Senior year in High School. Is very stressful because I need to find a summer job to pay off a little bit of college expenses. Anyways, as I'm getting ready for this weekend. I'm kinda excited for The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. I know I know, Twilight. Well, I'm suprised myself because I read all the Twilight novels before the big buss even emerged with the films. So there's still some excitement inside. Plus, Eclipse has always been my favorite from the four books (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn).

In other news, I've been watching The Phantom of the Opera too
much for me to bare. I think I should stop before I make myself sick of it, no?
But I just love Gerald Butler's voice and Emmy Rossum voice. Both combinations are perfect.

And tomorrow, June 5, The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner, hits store. I'll pick that up and then be waiting, anxiously, for the film. I just hope it's not as bad as the first one or they keep some elements in it. Since it is my favorite in the whole series!

Weekend

So this past weekend I did not do anything that was exciting to post here. Maybe I was excited cause I finally found the last movie I needed for my Tim Burton/Johnny Depp film, Ed Wood. I was super happy. I found it at the magical place, Borders. My sister need to buy Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. And while she went to look for it I went to the movies to browse. And magically found Ed Wood. But the thing is, I needed to choose between Ed Wood and Holly Black's White Cat. I picked the movie, you might be asking why? Well, after so long of searching for the movie I needed to take it. The book will always be there. As for the movie, it's usually hard to find old movies. Trust me.

I've been listening to the famous and one of the most awsome bands in the world, Queen. They're too amazing to not like, right?
