I have actually always wanted to start a book blog, but never found the dignity or courage to start one since there's a lot of book blogs on the web, but I thought to myself, Why not take a chance? If it doesn't work I'll at least know I tried and move on.

Book Recommendation

The Darkest Powers by Kelley Armstrong

Chloe Saunders sees dead people. Yes, like in the films. The problem is, in real life saying you see ghosts gets you a one-way ticket to the psych ward. And at 15, all Chloe wants to do is fit in at school and maybe get a boy to notice her. But when a particularly violent ghost haunts her, she gets noticed for all the wrong reasons. Her seemingly crazed behaviour earns her a trip to Lyle House, a centre for disturbed teens.

At first Chloe is determined to keep her head down. But then her room mate disappears after confessing she has a poltergeist, and some of the other patients also seem to be manifesting paranormal behaviour. Could that be a coincidence? Or is Lyle House not quite what it seems…? Chloe realizes that if she doesn’t uncover the truth, she could be destined for a lifetime in a psychiatric hospital. Or could her fate be even worse…? Can she trust her fellow students, and does she dare reveal her dark secret?

I really liked the first book and I finished the second, The Awakening, today and I can't wait for to read the last in The Darkest Powers series. The books are a fast read. I finished the first within 3 days and the second 2. If you're looking for something good to read and you're into Young Adult novels than this is something you can pick up and read it's worth your time.

It's about time I finish a book I loved and I want my readers of the blog to enjoy something they'll enjoy too!

It was the early part of the great Depression, and for Jacob, now ninety, the circus world he remembers was both his salvation and a living hell. A veterinary student just shy of a degree, he was put in charge of caring for the circus menagerie.

It was there that he met Marlena, the beautiful equestrian star married to August, the charismatic but twisted animal trainer. And he met Rosie, an untrainable elephant who was the great gray hope for this third-rate traveling show. The bond that grew among this unlikely trio was one of love and trust, and, ultimately, it was their only hope for survival.

So you might be asking why the hell do I have the countdown for Water for Elephants on the side bar?
Well, I'm currently reading the book and I'm hooked. I was hooked from the beginning! I really recommend you guys read it and give it a try.

Personal Demons

Remember a pretty long time ago I posted this blogpost about Fallen Angels taking over Teen reads. Well, I think they are. There's from Halo, Fallen, Hush Hush, and now Personal Demons.
Though I think why I find Personal Demons interesting is because of the whole battle between Heave and Hell. Supernatural has A LOT to do with that :)
But anyways, I think I'm very interested in reading this book because it seems like a book I'll really enjoy.

Sypnosis: Frannie Cavanaugh is a good Catholic girl with a bit of a wicked streak. She's spent years keeping everyone at a distance—even her closest friends—and it seems her senior year will be more of the same...until Luc Cain enrolls in her class. No one knows where he came from, but Frannie can't seem to stay away from him. But I never win.
Why?
Is it because there's other people who like it more than others or their work is better.
I'm not sure which one it is.
So I've been commenting on BehindYellowEyes.com to try and win a copy of Linger, but like always.
I lost.

Book Trailer Awsomeness!

On Tuesday May 25, 2010 I posted this blog. In that blog I mentioned how Fallen Angels and Werewolves are taking over the Young Adult Book Shelves. One of those books I posted that you guys should read was The Dark Divine by Bree Despain.
Now almost a year after the release of the book a trailer has made it online and it's being aired during your time watching The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Only in selected theaters.
Here it is:

Here are some things I loved about the trailer: One, the color the video was, dark and mysterious, which leads to Two, the use of the lines from the book, and Three, the way everything is black and white except for the actress's scarf is the color of the book cover.
Two things I didn't enjoy but can't complain about was that Grace's voice didn't sound that way in my head. Two, Daniel I didn't picture that way either.
I guess imagination makes you insane sometimes :)

The Summer I Turned Pretty

Ok. I usually don't read girly books, but the only books that are outside of Supernatural YA books are anything from Sarah Dessen. I even got to meet her. She was super nice. Anyways, I came across this book at Target yesterday and I thought to myself, I need to read that book!

Sypnosis: Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer--they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between.
